![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What I noticed during all these years is that GPU doesn't matter a lot in this game, decent GPUs paired with a good CPU give more or less the same results. Your PC is not quite powerful, it's VERY powerful! I guess you have an i5 8600K, right? I have an i5 8600K combined with a GTX 970 and for playing GTA IV at a quite stable 60 FPS (at 1080p, not 4K) I turned down "Detail Distance" and "View Distance" to 30% and "Vehicle Density" to 50%. I know, when you're used to run games above 60 FPS it's hard to play with 30 FPS, but at least you could max out every option. GTA IV (and EFLC too) is one of the worst Console to PC ports that is ever existed, in my opinion in some scenarios is even worse than the 1st Crysis!Īnother solution you could try is to cap the framerate to 30 with a software like RivaTuner. Do you have the options "Vehicle Density", "Detail Distance" and "View Distance" maxed out (100%)? If yes, try to decrease all these options, try to go down to 50% and see how your FPS have changed. ![]()
